I'm almost eleven weeks along now (on Sunday), and even though the nausea seems to be settling, ever so slightly, it's still very annoying. Plus, I'm hungry all the time, and craving food from childhood pretty ravenously. I drove to Starsky a few days ago to stock up on fatty Polish cheeses and buns...oh so good! Plus, I am stuffing my face with red meats of all kinds, and if you know me at all, you know that even chicken grosses me out sometimes, much less red meat. But for the past few weeks, I salivate at the thought of Lick's juicy burgers, or a scrumptious beef stew. Droooool. I'm making paneer curry tonight, which I usually love, but it's really just for Miriam and Josh, and I'll be happy with a few (six or seven) slices of rye bread with Polish cheese and tomato.
I had a dream last night that the baby is a boy. I put him in a cradle, wrapped in woolen blankets, and he got too hot. He had very short dark hair. And my mother-in-law was shooting little explosive-type toys around him. Ahhh, the bizarre dreams begin, but at least this is better than the killer insomnia I suffered with Miriam.
First midwives appointment is in one week!
